We have tried this place once every year during our fall hunt since their grand opening and EVERY single time the condition of this restaurant has been disgusting! Everywhere you look there is filth! and heaven forbid you touch anything without it sticking to you! It is totally gross! Cannot emphasize that
No frills, but lots of homestyle menu items. Sometimes service is not great, but when it is good - it is very good. Food usually doesn't disappoint.
Visited last evening and had excellent service and very good hostess to make certain everything was up to par (9/14/2017). To attend a scheduled meeting on 9/15/2017 which had been scheduled for approximately one year. When I arrived we were told it was a very busy day and we couldn't use the room we had reserved because it was the bicenntenial celebration, we would have to find some place else for our meeting. Our group came from all over the State of SD and Kansas. The manager was very rude, however rudely told us that we could use the room after we set it up for the meeting; but we were inconvencing her greatly. I watched one area of the restaurant during our meeting and no one was ever seated in that part of the restaurant to eat; must not have been too busy during the day. After many years of holding meetings at this restaurant; we were refused scheduling for the next meeting. I will give kudos to the waitresses who served coffee, water and lunch. They were excellent. Our next meeting will be held somewhere else in Pierre unless this manager sees fit to offer an apology. I travel 7 states and Perkins has always been my go-to restaurant for good food, good dessert, and cleanliness. Not the FT. PIERRE location after this experience.
To anyone that goes here. There is 2 wonderful waitresses, Lenny and Beth. They always know what you want and how you would like it cooked. And if Beth isn't out waiting tables, she is the one who is back preparing your food. Thanks girls, you are our favorites. Always a smile and BOB says Dianne is lucky to have you working for her.☺
Food is consistently bad. Service is adequate but feel bad because they are always apologizing for the food. Won't go there even if staying at the hotel.
enough! It is tragic that the former Country Kitchen owners sold out to a bank! It was the much better option. Do not eat here if you value your health!
